Kate Faulkner and Christmas outfits

Today was so much fun I had to go ahead and post these pictures. Kate Faulkner, Stacey and Adam Faulkner's daughter, came over to play today. Kate is such a little Diva. I know that Mallani and her are going to be best friends growing up.

Also, a few days ago when I was getting out the Christmas stuff, I had to dress Mallani up in some of her Christmas outfits. She did NOT like the Santa hat, but everything she pretty much just smiled and laughed at.

Growing like a weed..

Mallani went to the doctor last week and weighed in around 9 lbs. She is getting so big and her pediatrician said she is exceeding her expectations. She also went back to the eye doctor and just has a little bit of retinopathy close to her ears, but the doctor said she is 99% better. He wants to continue to watch it until it goes away. But after all she has been through we were thrilled to get a good report. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I will share the few that I did take. We went to my Grandmother's house in PB and then went to the Reed's afterwards to have leftovers. I got a cute picture of Joanna Reed holding Mallani :). After the awesome Razorback game, the Spencer's and Rachel & Barry came over to celebrate the victory. We had a blast as always. John was so cute holding Mallani. He was practicing for his new little one coming.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and have a great week!

Love,
Lauren

Work Shower & Halloween

The past few days have been busy, busy. My friends at work gave me a wonderful baby shower and it was so nice to be able to show Mallani off, finally. Plus, I always enjoy visiting with them. They have been extremely nice about letting me stay home with Mallani until she is ready to go to daycare. I don't know what I would do without them. I absolutely love the people I work with and miss them dearly! They know that staying home with her right now is what is best for us both and I feel so privileged to get to work for people who feel the same way.

Mallani is weighing in around 8 lbs now. Can you believe that? It's crazy to think about how much she is grown, considering that little booger weighed only 1lb 4oz when she was born. For the past two nights she has slept through the entire night, so lets keep our fingers crossed that this just isn't a stunt she is trying to pull on Mama and she continues to do so. She is eating around 4 oz every 4 hours, but she will let you know if she is hungry or not! She really is a wonderful baby. She does a lot of sleeping during the day like other newborns. When I tell people she is 4 1/2months old, they look at me like I'm crazy so we have started telling strangers that she is 1 1/2 months old to avoid having to talk to them for 5 hours. Whoops! She is still going to the eye doctor every other week to on her retinopathy or ROP.

But mainly we are going to monitor it, not because it's getting worse. She will probably have to wear glasses, but that is fine with me after all we have been through.

For Halloween we went over to my best friend Hailey's house. It was fun to dress the kids up and take pictures. Mallani and Austin had matching outfits and their mothers didn't even plan it. Actually, Austin (Hailey's daughter), did a wardrobe change in the middle of the party and became a flower. She was a doll. Mallani also got to meet her new buddy Lila Smart. She was also a flower and boy is she precious. I took so many pictures of her because she was loving to pose for the camera.

Also, one of my best buddies Kathryn Ramsey, came over to meet Mallani this week, so I had to take a picture of her holding Mallani. She was such a natural with her and Mallani just was looking at her like she had known her forever.

Last, but not least, my best friend Stacey Faulkner, had a gorgeous healthy baby girl today. Kathleen Elizabeth Faulkner, weighing 7lbs 8oz. She is going to go by the name Kate though. She has a head full of blond hair and is beautiful just like her Mama! I know that Mallani and Kate are going to be best buddies and I can't wait to meet her. So CONGRATS to Adam and Stacey & Welcome to the world baby Kate!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Another fun weekend!

Mallory and Lauren stayed the weekend with us and we had a blast! Mallory is the cuties baby and I can't wait for Mallani to be that age. Jim taught her to say, "Daddy, I need Diamonds!" She is at the age that she repeats everything, so you know we had fun with that. Emma taught her to say, " Momma wants a toddy!" It was great. She would carry my purse around the house and she had to have her "poo-pops" on, which were her flip flops. We would ask her where she was going, and she would say, " I go to work Mrs. Wawnin." And then I would ask her were she works, and she would say, "I work at El Dorado!" How funny is that! They even had matching Razorback dresses to wear for the game. We had a blast and we hope that they come back and stay with us soon.

I also took a few pictures of Mallani that I wanted to share to show how big that girl is getting.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Fun with the McNulty's

This past weekend we went to our good friends house, Tabitha and Kelly McNulty,to watch the Razorback game. We always have so much fun hanging out with them and it was especially good for Mama because I got to get out of the house. Max, their son, who is a doll by the way, was especially interested in Mallani. He wanted to give her toys, read her books, and play with her the whole time. He kept on saying, " Mrs. Wauren, I read to Lani, I hold Lani?" It was adorable. Tabitha is having a little girl in January and we are thrilled. I know that baby Maggie and Mallani are going to be great friends. Here are some of the pictures that we took of the two of them together. I hope everyone has a great week!
